Just accepted in JASMS, we evaluate of TIMS source conditions to determine an effective energy for different voltages applied to different parts of the TIMS. Additionally, we show the impact of pressure on the effective energy of ions and that trapping time does not affect the survival yield for our prototype TIMS meaning these results translate to the commercial timsTOF pro so long as the trap is not overfilled. Lastly, we give K0 values for both parents and fragments of the para-substituted-benzylammonium ions used for this work.
